Lucy Holehouse

Lucy Holehouse is working on an M4C-funded thesis, ‘Disguising the King’s Men: 1603-1630’, which looks at the development of disguise tropes across the King’s Men’s repertory to show how close readings of disguise across the company’s repertory can inform our understanding of their commercial identity and the practical aspects of performing disguise. Her research interests cover disguise, repertory systems, theatre history, and theatrical practice. Outside of her thesis, she is a part of the Reading Early Plays research team and The King’s Women Project. Her main interests in REP and The King’s Women are Nicholas Tooley and the Burbage family.
